I need to complete my tank setup from a clean slate. Bought the hydros 4 starter pack along with all the sensors available. I would like to have the Hydros do everything instead of a Frankenstein setup.
Which Dosing pumps are compatible with the Hydros? I like the Versa/ Ntune DOS for their flexibility of being able to use them for water changes or micro-dosing. My plans are to add a Hydros Control 2 by my fresh/Salt water storage tanks, then control the pumps through the Hydros app. Is this the right approach? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I don't think there is one yet. I believe I heard Carlos mention that Kamoer may be working on Hydros connectivity though

Yes, that is an upcoming feature that we are definitely working on. When we are done with it, we think people are going to be very pleased with it! As soon as we have it ready, we will let everybody know here and on social media!

After seeing the product on Reef dudes interview, I fell in love. Cant wait to see what's in store. Currently using apex stuff on my small tank, looking to switch both and get the updated tech. Hydros seems more forward looking for sure.

We are working on them. Unfortunately, I cannot give you a release date. The last time we did that, and we missed the date, some folks got REALLY upset. We tried to be transparent, and it ended up backfiring on us. Because of that, we won't do dates anymore. We will let everybody know when it is ready, and we are releasing the software update.

Carlos,
Is there a dosing pump that is fully compatible with Hydros

I have been using the Intllab dosing pump with the Hydros since I got it last November. I connect them to the drive port using a cable I made. The first photo is one of the pump with the cable. The second photo is of 4 of the pumps. Three are in use. I use the one with the dual pump heads for AWC. The one to the right of that on is used for ATO. The one above the ATO pump is dosing All For Reef. The remaining pump is a spare for now. They are 12v pukps and do come with a power pack to use with AC power but I prefer using the drive ports with these. If for some reason there is a wifi outage the controller will still have control of the drive ports.

Going back to the Kamoer dosing pumps... Looking at the F4 Pro I noticed that this model has CAN1/CAN2 RJ45 ports. So it seems to me, not being an expert with CANbus, that by using a CANbus cable with a GX12-5 to RJ45 would enable the physical connection of the Kamoer on the Hydros control. Than, it really becomes a question of software integration development to allow the Hydros app to send instructions to the Kamoer software in the device. Hopefully this integration will be completed and announced soon...

Here you go :)

Check out the new Hydros dosing pump here HYDROS Dosing Pump
Yeah I checked it before but it's a single head pump and from what I see it needs a drive port. I was thinking more about a full doser with 4 heads that can be interfaced with the Command Ports to be able to control from a single pane of glass instead of using multiple apps...

Thats actually a good idea, could submit that to the " New Features/ Equipment requests "

Are you going to use these to dose? If so you can add more than one pump when setting up the schedule. You can get 4 of these and use drive ports. I think they will also use 12v power packs also if you want to use an AC output. They are basically a pump that runs when powered. All control is in the Hydros.

Yes I know I watched the cvtv workshop. To give you an idea I dose Aquaforest 123+ which uses 3 heads, plus I am dosing Nitrates with the 4th head. I got the X3 controller that does not have a drive port so my only option is to use a dedicated power bar for 4 single head pumps and honestly they are not convenient to mount on a control pannel + plus additional wires etc... I work in IT as a Sales Engineer for a software company. I am not an developer by any means nor am I an API specialist but from what I understand from my developpers, anything in terms of feeding data between 2 software can be done if they are both using the same API. As the command ports on the Hydros use CANbus to share data, and that the Kamoer F4 Pro has CANbus connectors, I am just suggesting that this would be a nice feature if the Hydros could be used as the programming interface for the smart doser. A single pane of glass for everything. As there is a partnership between CV and Kamoer, maybe this is something already in the works, and if not maybe they can consider it... I know I would buy a F4 if I was able to interface it with the Hydros. If not, I might buy a RedSea ReefDose or another brand of Smart Doser or just keep the one I have if I have to use it as a standalone and in a different app anyway...
