iOS notifications on silent and custom tone

I don’t really see a point in having an automated system that’s supposed to alert me when things are going bad if I don’t get the alerts.
I’d like to request that the ability for the hydros app to have an emergency notification option selectable so that it will ring even when my phone is on silent. I don’t ever want those notifications silenced.
I’d also like the ability to customize the ring tone of the notification so that I know for certain it’s my hydros alerting me and not something else.

The controllers themselves have an audible alert you can turn on in the options. Our tank is in another room and they woke us up in the middle of the night one night. So I had to turn the audible alert off after that. My wife was not happy getting woke upin the middle of the night,
