I recommend putting units on smart plugs so you can turn the unit off and back on remotely.
I actually learned this trick because when I had my Apex it always came up faster than my wireless in a power outage. If it did not get WiFi it would just sit there so I would have to reboot it.
Does the pump work with the original controller?
I have had bad cable before it does happen so it maybe the cable.
I have 2 WE and all three run a VaRios pump just fine. I do it so I have less power supplies and also one place to shut it all down.

Also you selected direct pump 1 that is not 0-10 v so I am confused on that statement of only 0-10V.
In Patterns make sure you select the pump you created in outputs.

Octo Pulse do seem to be in short supply, took me a while to find one a while back. Their popularity seems to have jumped too.
I just set up a AIO reef Aquarium for my wife that is 20 gallons with a Control 2.
I use it to control temps. Heater plugged into a heat controller on one outlet of Wifi power strip with a temp probe on a sense port.
I use it for ATO and I use the hydros kit ATO. So pump hooked up to a drive...

It does say alert when dry for the sensor, that can not be right. I wonder if it says wrong on the app and actually alerts when wet when enabled.
Either way yea it is wrong.
Wave modes, Control does not have them. The ability to sync multiple pumps.
0-10v is ok for basic control like the main pump but controlling multiple flow pumps.
Most pumps like the gyres do not have 0-10v either.
