add a guest login that only has limited control like changing the mode from normal to feeding. basically, I would like to disallow programming permissions to like pet sitters or family friends that take care of pets when we travel.
OK. If I go to "device properties" I see one version that only just over 100 bytes in size. all the others are well over 1200 bytes. If I load one of those, I get my system back.

OK. That is how it is currently implemented. It just seems that standalone operation should always be available. One can have a button that does update the cloud. Many other applications and games use the cloud as a way to save/connect to others, but don't restrict local access to read-only...
what kind of devices use the usb power? really hard to find what things actually can plug into it. limited searching yields some results. maybe it's too new.
why is blue tooth read-only? seems to me that should be the default to edit. if the internet goes down, I still want to connect to it. Last Thursday ComCast was doing upgrades in the neighborhood, internet was down for more than 4 hours.
I have been getting the same thing. (using chrome on Android phone). restarting the phone fixes it temporarily and some times double back (to exit) app allows me to get to it. Definition of "configuration stale says "another system updated" and I only use one device
