Still, they should've included caps. And really switch from push connectors to some sort of water proof screw on ones. Seems like someone run out of time and shipped an engineering sample :)

Just opened up a new Kraken and looks like there are two outputs form Meanwell PS, what is this about? Seems like a bad idea for controller to use one and the other one sitting there without a cap or anything exposed? Also connection to the controller is not very IP67 looking :)

Flushing is not super effective and you would really need to do it for a while for it to be meaningful, 20-30 minutes. So I suppose that could be the driving force of the decision of when to do it, etc. Do you want to waste that much water each time you fill up 55g barrel, etc. I used to do it...

Let's say I have this setup What would be best way to turn on the pump when bottom water sensor is dry and to turn it off when top sensor is wet. And then not to run again until bottom sensor is dry again? Thanks!

Not sure what and how is automated for you there. But for automatic flush a flush valve by pass with a normally closed solenoid might be a good idea. Hydros one is normally open, so can be used as well, just NC one seems like a better choice here. If that flush valve does something magic in...
