Okay have added my Control XD to use to drive my Hydros Dosers and now tried to create a collective with Control X4, Power X8, Wave Engine and the Control XD....looks like I was sucessful until noticed that no when I select Collective as shown I don't get any Dashboard to see things like Ph, Temp, etc from my Control X4 and can only access the collective via BT override. What did iI do wrong? I did use control blue cables and terminator on the Control XD also. Power is going into the Power X8 from the power brick. As prior to this I could view and see each module separately and access and control them. Now I can see none of them? How do I reverse the Collective back to single modules or fix this?

If this is the first time creating a collective only the first controller in the collective will retain its settings. Anything added after it is created will have the settings erased when added. So if you created it with the new XD which had no settings and added the others to it then everything setup in them will get erased when they are added to the collective. Also you have to have control bus cables connecting all the controllers together and 2 terminators for the ends. Without the command bus cables and terminators the controllers cannot communicate with each other in the collective.

WHen you create a collective you won't see the devices individually. At least not via wifi. There will be a list of devices below your left dropdown when you initially enter the app. You'll see the collective name with the word collective in small print below it. Then clicking on the collective nane you'll connect and all of the members will be visible below a single virtual device if you will. At this point you will be able to.share inputs to operate outputs on another control. The only way you'll be able to see and control (manual override only) individual devices the way you previously had will be via bluetooth. This is normal behavior. I personally think you may have successfully configured a collective and possibly just don't know what you're looking at.

See how mine says DISPLAY (which is my collective name) with Collective in smaller print.

Then if you click the down arrow to the right of the name it'll display other collectives or individual devices that haven't yet been joined to a collective. See below.

In order to see this you need to transition from Bluetooth to Wifi/Cloud by clicking on the cloud symbol in the top center.

Thank you ...yes I think this is what happened. But I did loose all of my configurations and scheduled for each individual device. Also difficult to see/find my probes and PH and temps for my Control X4...so I eventually figured out how to delete the collective and will try again with a bit more education and research and probably using the Control X4 as the main device instead of the Control Xd.

The only controller that will retain any settings is the controller that was accessed when you create the collective. Any one you add will have all the settings erased when you add it to the collective. So if you had the new controller accessed when you created the collective and added your others this will happen since the new controller had no settings yet.
