I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I set up 3 different modes. One to run from 8:00am to 8:00pm and it’s an LPS reef set up for *default day*.

The second is a gyre and it’s supposed to run from 8:00pm to 8:00am and it’s *default night*.

The last is a nutrient export for an hour every other night at midnight.

I’ve been checking my schedules and it’s running my gyre all the time. I can provide screen shots of whatever is needed, I just don’t want to bombard this post with pics of useless info.

I appreciate any help.

These are the 3 schedules.

What are the modes for? Modes are triggered manually by clicking the button. Below are screenshots of one of my schedules. I don't use any of advanced settings like you have.

As I understood, the advanced settings would override whatever schedule was running. So, if there is a gyre running and nutrient export shares the same time, if the advanced settings are enabled in the schedule, it will override the first schedule allowing the nutrient export to run for a couple of hours.

I thought the mode was for selecting a schedule. I guess I don’t understand. Should everything be set for “normal”?

Here is an example of advanced setting use for a timer. The start time is start of the first instance for the day. In the example the first on time is 00:00:00. The run time is how long it runs each instance. The run count is how many time you want it to run. Here it is set to 24 times. Set to 0 it will keep repeating the run time every run interval and never stop. The run interval is how often you want it to repeat. Here it set to 1 hour. So this output will run for 10 minutes every hour 24 times for the day. I you want to use advanced settings try setting the run count to 1 since you only want to run once in a 24 hour period. I would only use advanced on the one that overlaps which is the nutrient export. The others I would use the standard settings.

The modes are usually for things like low power, feed modes, water changes and of corse normal mode. I guess you could create modes to put it in the individual schedules if you want to switch them manually for some reason.

Honestly, you are making the schedule a lot more complicated than it needs to be. Here are three schedules that achieve what you are trying to do but keep it much simple:

Day Schedule: IceCap Dual Pump Controller - How to Create a Day Preset - Help Page
Night Schedule: IceCap Dual Pump Controller - How to Create a Night Schedule - Help Page
Hurricane (Repeating) Schedule: IceCap Controller - How to Create a Hurricane Flow Schedule - Help Page

The only schedule with "Advanced Settings" is the Hurricane one. Everything else is kept on a single start and end timed schedule.

Thanks Carlos! After reading through those examples, I realized I misunderstood how the schedules where initiated. But I got it.
