Hello,

A couple questions to those using the HYDROS Dosing Pump for ATO and/or Water Changes.

My distance between water station and sump/tank:
6' Feet Up, 60' Feet Over, and 4' Feet Up

1. Are my distances too much for these little pumps?
2. Are dosing pumps in general better at sucking or pushing

I'm thinking I might need to place them closer to the sump and suck the water up from the basement so that the XD controller is in the same collective with the main tank upstairs. My other option is to drop the HYDROS Dosing pumps and go with the SpectraPure Litermeter which I know can handle the distance and 10' up. The issue with this is that I have to WiFi power control the on/off vs. calibrate and monitor with the HYDROS Dosing Pump SpectraPure® G7 LiterMeter® Dosing Pump

Thanks,
Robert

I use the Hydros dosing pump for ATO. The tank is 35ft away and the tubing is run through the attic. The DI tank is on the garage floor. So I would say it should work. I also do AWC with similar pumps and the drain pump is in the garage 35ft from the tank and that tubing is run through the attic to the pump. So that pump pulls water out of the sump up through the attic down to the pump. Then it goes back up through the attic and down a wall to the kitchen sink drain. All three pumps have check valves on the outputs so that also would add a little to the back pressure. The Hydros has been running for a year now without any issues.

Thanks Danny. Helpful! I'm going to go for it with the HYDROS Dosing Pumps
