Can I use an older ice cap battery backup?

Not sure what version I have. It’s at least 4 years old, everything looks the same on the outside except the sticker! Can I use it?
 
V1 and V3 are 12V, while V2 is 24V. Therefore, the HYDROS is only compatible with 12V batteries.

Yes, but you need to connect it to your WaveEngine, which needs to be in a collective with your X4.

Oh guess I missed the part that battery backup only works with wave engine (I don’t have one…yet). Thanks!

Yes, the entry point for the battery backup is the WaveEngine. So you can tell the controller to keep flow pumps (WaveEngine) and drive ports (on the X4 or any other HYDROS device).
