Hey All,

I have been looking at a couple different ways to dose kalkwasser with the Hydros. Currently I run a Jebao doser once an hour (120mls) 24x a day.

I am thinking of two different options here.

1) Kamoer X1 Pro T Setup in continuous duty for 120mls an hour with the programming below.

Option 2) The Hydros doser setup as a simple doser at 43mls a minute and a schedule to run it. From what I understand this will run every 30 mins and dose if the ph is within the range I have stated.

Areyou sure you want to dose 2880 ml a day if the input is low. That would over fill my sump.

That's what I currently dose right now on the Jebao doser. 120ml each hour.

Am I missing something?
Just making sure that is what you want since the other settings are 96ml a day. Since you just want it to dose or not dose you could also use a generic output type with a schedule and have the pH input set to active when low and set the value. The generic schedule you would have to calculate how long you would want it on each time and how many times and the interval between them. That would require that enable advanced settings be on also.

Just like I have in the first setup?

Similar except you don't have a schedule setup. If you setup a schedule it will run the schedule unless it gets above the pH high point. It will remain off until it get below the low setpoint and then it will start back on the schedule.

My goal is to try and peg the pH and only dose the kalk to keep it around the 8.3 mark. I'm gonna have to dig into this much deeper. Lol

Hydros makes it seem "easy" because there is no complete coding but man I totally am lost on this stuff. I was hoping they could do little short snipits of actually setting up this stuff.

You will need to enable has schedule and advanced settings like this output. This output is not dependent on a input, but you have that setup already. You will have to set the run time to the time it takes to dispense 120ml each time. You would set run count to 24 if you want to dose every hour. The run interval would be 1 hour. That would run once a hour for the run time you set as long as the pH is below the high point setup which you have set at 8.4 on the input. It will not run again until it gets below the low point which you have set to 8.3 on the input.

Any reason why you wouldnt just use the "kalk reactor" output type? Since you are using the doser in continuous mode, just set its rate to something that wouldn't exceed your system's max evaporation rate for the day if it did run for 24 hours straight. Ignore the stirrer section if you dont have one and let hydros turn off/on the doser as the pH climbs and falls. If you have an alkalinity tester, this profile allows you to configure that as an input for a safety backup in case your alk gets too high as well.
