HYDROS Kraken & Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries (LiFe PO4) Support?

I think I heard Carlos mention at some point that Kraken will only work with Lead Acid batteries. Is this correct? I hope not... I much prefer LiFe PO4 batteries for back up and longevity. I'm lucky to get 1.5 - 2 years out of an old school lead acid battery. HYDROS Kraken could be the battery back up solution I've been waiting for here in hurricane alley aka Central FL.

You did hear correctly. That's because of the way the batteries are charged. The built in trickle charger will not work with LiFe PO4 batteries. It's just an issue with charging those types of batteries. When the Kraken comes out there will be a way for you to disable the trickle charger thus allowing you to use your own LiFe PO4 batteries and a proper charger for them.
