So I just setup my new Hydros system. I started with an X3, an XP8 and 2 wifi 4x strips. I have never had a controller before so this is pure luxury. Very excited about where I can take this.
I have two recommendations and while neither are directly related to reef automation they are directly related to reef management. I currently maintain multiple spreadsheets, an aquatic log count, and now have my hydros.
I suggest:
Thanks,
Matt
I have two recommendations and while neither are directly related to reef automation they are directly related to reef management. I currently maintain multiple spreadsheets, an aquatic log count, and now have my hydros.
I suggest:
- Add a key in, (manual), data point as an input. This way non automated testing can be tracked using the 1 software interface. I don't think this at all takes away from selling items such as alkatronic & mastertronic...
- A way to create an equipment library that can then be linked to outputs/inputs. The goal here would be to track equipment, setup preventative maintenance / cleaning schedules. You could set equipment replacement / retirement dates. I would be willing to bet most people either do this through some sort of spreadsheet, wing it, or just don't do it at all.
Thanks,
Matt
