Few questions,

First has anyone setup some sort of display that is permanently attached to the tank to show some/all of the current readings, something similar to what Apex has for example? Obvious solution would be some sort of tablet mounted displaying either the app or webpage, but was wondering if someone did something more interesting :)

Second question, is there any sort of API to access data from Hydros controllers either going out to web or getting local access from the device itself?

Thanks!

This was my last one. It is changing because I have allot more Hydros equipment now.

So no API to access at least current state of the device? That way I could at least make a custom webpage that would poll info at some rate and have a layout of data I want.

API is on the roadmap and something that we definitely want to offer. But unfortunately, at this time, we are still playing catchup. Remember, the other company has had a 20-year headstart, and unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to go from 0 to 60 in 1 second. So we ask for a little patience, and we truly believe that you will be happy with the results.

I'm looking forward to this!

@Carlos
It's been over a year now, any update?

I surface mounted a Fire 7 tablet. I was able to load Google Play Store and get the Hydros app installed and running.

How much progress along the roadmap?

There are people interested in this, with the necessary technical skills and willing to help. Is there a chance you could open some kind of communication channel with us? Maybe like a separate forum with vetted users only where you could share some technical information and in exchange we could contribute to the development of your products?

Have there been any updates on API development? Or even some kind of documentation on how the devices themselves talk so that people can integrate into other stuff?

Hi Carlos - any update on when the API might be made available? I’m a developer and would happily volunteer to build some tools for your customers. I’m especially interested in building a Home Assistant integration so people can monitor and control their tanks from their smart home dashboard. Feel free to DM me if you want me to beta test.

Thanks,
Mike

@Carlos Any update on this? You have legitimate developers offering to help make this happen for free. There is a real opportunity here for CoralVue to take a community first approach here and take the lead. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.

A little disheartening to see they've been asking for API access since 2021. 😔 i know it's a lot of work for Carlos and the team but also would be very helpful.

In the interim I'm going to setup up my Fire 10 tablet and run the app until integration is available. This trend of not releasing things based on the published schedule (Maven) is a bit disconcerting I must say.
