Can I connect the X10 with a power supply to a xp8 then to the minnow with no power supply?

I read the xp8 has a way to isolate the power from the power and data cable or will the xp8 supply all the power that is needed?

You can connect all three of those together in any order as long as you do not use one of the power supplies that connect directly to a command bus port. Those come in the starter packs and some single controllers without a separate connector for power like the Minnow. So if the Minnow came with a power supply do not use it if a XP8 or X10 are connected to the Minnow using a command bus cable,
