I am getting an alert that the SD card on my XP8 is bad. I opened the controller to try re-seating the card but can not find it. Where would I locate the SD card to reseat or replace it?

Thanks

Did you try powering down for a minute and powering it back up. To do that you will need to power down every power supply connected to the collective to remove power from the command bus.

Tried total power off waited ten minutes. Booted into error state then seemed to correct the error. Flip between SD card good and SD Card bad for about 5 second then reverted to SD Card bad. Every so often it reboots; and seems to cycle through the boot up but error remains.

I think there may be more than one circuit board version so it may have the SD card holder in a different spot depending on which version it is. The holders are usually push in to seat the card and push in to remove the card. You may want to submit a support ticket with CoralVue for this.

The SD card on the XP8 is in a difficult place to get to, its on the top side of the board under where the command bus port mini-board is. Definitely reach out to support on how to change this out since it will take a few careful steps to access (removing the board from the faceplate, etc).

I want to thank everyone for their help. I ended up contacting support. They advised it would take special tools to safely access the SD card and recommended I mail the unit to Coralvue support for card replacement or repair. Waiting to hear back for a status report.

Hopefully there will be a design change in the future. Had an X10 that needed a new SD card. Replacing it was a quick and easy fix.
