I use two dosing pumps that the flow rate is adjusted to match. They are hooked to the same drive port So they both run at the same time. One drains water from the refugium section of the sump and the other adds fresh saltwater to the return section of the sump. I also have a low and a high water sensor in the return section of the sump. If for some reason one of the pumps fail the water will drop or raise till one of these is tripped. This will turn off the AWC pumps and send an alert. I use a timer on a generic output to control the pumps. Right now the sensors are still hooked to my Archon but I now have a XS to add so that these sensors are on the Hydros directly.

I see that u know your stuff about the hydros,Do u have pics of your setup?
Here is a link to my build thread on reef2reef Build Thread - Canopy and Stand Build for 42 Gallon Hex Tank.

Here is a few photos of the control board in the garage. The area on the right in white is for pumps, valves and solenoids. It is still under construction. The two pumps on the stand in the lower right corner are currently the two AWC pumps. Right now the only pump in place and running where it will go is the ATO. It is on the lower right side of the bottom shelf assembly. The other two pump on the shelf assembly are were they are going but are not currently hooked up. There is still on DP1 used to dose All dose All for Reef but it will be replaced with the pump on the shelf above the ATO pump. I ran out of elbows for the tubing and have some more on order. At one time all the DA stuff was just laying on the workbench. I have removed several of the DA modules since adding the Hydros system. There are not any current photos on the control board on the build thread yet. I have been too busy to update it lately.

That is a nice looking tank. I have a 110 gallon but I promised my wife I would make her kitchen cabinets before starting anything with that tank. It is nice to have a fish room like that. I guess I am lucky enough to have room in the garage. I built things out there with the intention of serving two tanks with it. The 42 gallon is in a bedroom and the 110 will go in the dining room. The relays were for getting float switch info from the three storage tanks to both controllers To begin with. There is also two that are hooked to two of the DA power strips to send signals to the Hydros via sense ports. I have removed a few of them already. The DIN rail makes a good way of adding some DIY stuff. There is also a 12v power supply on there along with the RJ45 breakout connectors. I use them to get signals from the float switches and the water level sensors on the three storage tanks.

Thx I have to clean the acrylic, and as u see the buckets are for a water change to be done tomorrow. U see my old ass skimmer lol

As long as it still works for the tank. I have an old SWC skimmer on mine. Photo below sitting in the sump before it was in use.
