So yesterday I set up my brand new hydros wave engine with 5 pumps (1 direct drive, 4 0-10v) to control, an XF350 and 4 tunze pumps, one at each corner of the aquarium. I spent quite some time making sure that everything was working, with a day schedule at full power and a night one at 40%

This evening, I idly log in to monitor it, and there's only 2 pumps installed, (XF350, "Tunze rear right" - what's with the 16-character limit, anyway ?), one entire group has gone, and the presets are named differently than how I left them, also most of them are missing (there's now 2, not 6)

I recognise the names that are still there - it was the ones I used when I was testing out things. But all the setup and new timing, naming, and well, everything really is gone. How did this happen ? Is it something I did, or is it a known bug, or what ? What's worrying me now is that if it lost them all, I lose the circulation in the tank...

Also, and I don't know if this is relevant, I seem to have Ecotech entries which I never put there:

The EcoTech tiles are always there. To hide them, go to the Options page and disable "Show EcoTech Status." In terms of things getting renamed, by any chance, were you using multiple devices (web app and mobile) at the same time? Did you access the device using Bluetooth instead of a WiFi connection?

Cool - thanks for the ecotech info.

As for bluetooth/wireless/devices - yes I used more than one device to configure it (an iPhone and an iPad), but at different times (separated by hours), and at no time up until the next day was the display other than what I'd expect (apart from the EcoTech things :)

When initially booting up, it was in WiFi mode (blue leds), then I upgraded the firmware to 1.6, and I got pink leds, so I configured it using bluetooth and got the mixture of white, yellow, green leds - only after that did I start actually adding pumps etc.

They weren't renamed, btw, they were lost. I had 5 pumps on the system, in three groups, with six presets (one each per group for day, one for night) and I was reduced to 2 pumps and 3 presets. The names I was left with were the ones from *before* I tagged each group's presets with a 'night' and 'day'

Only the one where I upgraded the firmware - it says to wait for a reboot, and I did.

With multiple devices I find that after you upload any change you should kill (swipe up) the app on the second device and then reopen the app to load the updated config from the cloud. If you go from one device to another even though it’s hours later your change will not show up until you get the updated config from the cloud.

maybe Carlos can confirm?

[sigh] Well, seems like that's a pretty major bug.

On the other hand, it's a fairly simple workaround, once you know about it. I'll be sure to kill all instances of the app and start over, this time staying in the web-app on one machine. If it re-occurs, I may be sending this back but otherwise I can live with it until they fix it.

The team is working on a new wave engine firmware and app release as we speak that will be out in the future. So I assume this will be addressed in that baseline update.

On the up-side, I found out about how to hide the ecotech stuff and discovered the 'four-square' preset which made life easier this time around :)
