So one other thing I've noticed is a reasonably regular 'error' status on the XF350 pump...

It only seems to ever be the XF350, and it doesn't seem to be fatal - the pump recovers and keeps on going through its cycle. Is this a bug ? Or is it indicative of a bad pump ? Or what ? :)

Here is how the pump is configured, and it's running the 'gyre' preset.

I've seen some talk about 'Invert rotation' being set, but I don't want to do anything that could destroy my brand new pump :)

Or is it because 'gyre' is trying to do a reverse action, and it's not allowed to by the above config ?

Cheers :)

I have the 330 and had to invert rotation for it to work correctly.
Also check that the pump blades turn freely - mine got bound up once and were sticking and the WaveEngine gave me the pump error in red. Once I fixed the pump all is well!

I just setup my new Hydros Wave Engine with the Maxspect XF350 pumps and I'm experiencing the same errors where the Hydros app is telling me that the pumps are "locking-up". I have to reset the system to get this problem to stop. I haven't been able to get any explanation on what is going on here or what is triggering the event. would love to know further if you have spoken to technical support and have figured this out?

I didn’t speak to technical support, but enabling the ‘inverse rotation’ and ‘allow reverse’ made it work for me when the xf350 was ‘same end’. I had to set just ‘allow reverse‘ for the other one on ‘opposire end’.

I had this issue with my 330 and it was the impeller shaft. It was a little loose or not as snug as it should be. After I bought a new impeller shaft, it fixed it right away. When I was getting the error, you could hear the pump kinda grind to a stop (grind might be too strong of a word, but it had that quality to it).

Yes try inverse that was a issue for me. Not even sure what it does myself? @Don or @Carlos
