Sorry if I missed this already being asked. As far as I can tell the new App/software allows an alarm for Protein Skimmer sensor. However, it appears to alert when dry. Shouldn’t alert when wet?

@Carlos

It does say alert when dry for the sensor, that can not be right. I wonder if it says wrong on the app and actually alerts when wet when enabled.
Either way yea it is wrong.

Just checked yep it is giving alert on dry that is not right.

This is my skimmer full sensor setup and it does alert when wet since I have alert when dry set to off.

I think all the water sensors are the same setup. If you want an alert on dry then you set it to dry otherwise it will alert on wet if you have notification level set to something other than none.

Yes, a water sensor is just that. Until you attach it to something, it has no DEFINED purpose. So if you use it as a skimmer sensor, a High-Level Sump sensor, an ATO sensor, a low-level sump sensor, or something else, the alarm can be either way.

The way we set it up, the user can take ANY water sensor and turn the alarm however they want it to be.

KL3377, thanks for asking this question. I'm in the process of setting up my Control 4 and WE and I was also thrown by the skimmer sensor "alert when dry" setting. Came here to check if I was doing something wrong. Might be better explained in the "how to"web page.

Did you get it setup ok?
