Well, I took the integration and built a dashboard that combines Hydros, Red Sea, and Input from HA. I use Conditionals to show certain items like when my Salt Mix sensor is low and time to make salt. I also use a Simple Swipe Card and placed Expander cards within that. Screenshots attached...
So this popped up on my Facebook feed - ReefCtrl - ReefCtrl — Smart Reef Tank Assistant | AI-Powered Reef Insights with Hydros Controller support. Ok, how can we tap into this with Home Assistant? I have no interest in paying $5/month for ReefCtrl. Thoughts @Carlos
Completed my build! I cheated a bit and bought some cables. I tried soldering the GX12 4-pin and failed miserably! :p Didn't bother with the 5 pin. I did do two of the 2 pins. 1 worked and the other probably came undone when putting the housing back. Oh well, I had a few Drive cables...
Works for me. For AWC, I was just going to set to run at the same time. That's how I have the Versas running. New salt goes in by the return pumps, waste from just below the reefmat. It should be close enough.
Have a better one!
Hey @TanAsh - I'm about to embark on this project. Question on your setup within Hydros.
How did you set it up - simple doser or smart and use a schedule?
Did you calibrate?
I'm assuming you did simple and just used "Has Internal Schedule" within each...at least for the AWC side.
Same boat. I'm trying to figure that out. I want to run a motorized ball valve for just 20 seconds. I set max run time and do not exceed. It powers on for 20 seconds and turns off BUT I have the RED exceeds. Well, it really didn't exceed if the power is now off!
Are you talking about this link? https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805533083254.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.62991802F7ZB5I&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa
it should come with both male and female connectors. Power from Force port should use the female M16 connector to the SDC or Red Sea...
well, don't really need a stepper. Just wondering if a brushless would have better longevity over brushed for AWC / Continuous. I "top off" my ATO reservoir from my RODI continuously at around 7ml/min. Using a Kamoer stepper now which is fine. If brushless needs 24v then yes, I can see the...
You need the Hydros Drive cable, not the Force port. The ReefMat uses a M11 connector. You can cut the power cord and splice or make your own cord with the M11. I did both on two separate aquariums. The simple method is cutting the power cord that came with the reefmat. You can always...
