No. Nothing else to correlate this event with. Inexplicably spiked downward from 78 to 30 in a few minutes and went back up to normal within a few minutes.
Also have similar issue with temp graph. It used to be a jagged line which accurately reflected the subtle and expected temp variations of my tank. Now it’s just a flat line since the update. If I click anywhere along the line it always says the temp was 77.90 at that time. It never varies...
I have a ticket open for this very same issue. Carlos and Michael are both aware of the details and are trying to figure it out. I did all the things suggested and it did not resolve the issue. This feature worked flawlessly in the previous version. Not sure if everyone knew but you could...
Ok. I had a similar experience when I first was setting up. Carlos explained that if I saw that the strip was recognized in the app then it was paired. If the wifi strip is shutting down all the little led’s above each socket, then it is because the controller believes that all the outlets...
I think what he is saying is that his C4 lost connection to his wifi power strip. When that happens whatever is plugged into the strip stays on or off until connection is hopefully re-established. Heaters stay on or off etc. Not sure there is anything programming wise that can stop this from...
Click on my icon and select Ignore. I did this for you. Let’s put an end to this before it goes any further and someone has to step in. Deal? Sorry to others here.
What crystal ball do you have? You don’t think that there will be some that would rather wait a bit before they perform an upgrade? Not everyone is an early adopter. Do you know what n-1 means? It’s a term used by IT as standard operating procedure to prevent upgrading to something before it...
Thanks Mike. I raised a ticket today with CoralVue support and am trying some things to see if that helps to identify what is going on here. Good to know that 165 has given you some relief. It has been frustrating as the C4 and some accessories cost me over $1000 Canadian including taxes...
I think I found a date/time bug in the system. Perhaps triggered by the change to DST? Anyways, I reported this to CV with the notification evidence I analysed. Maybe it’s not the root cause of what’s been happening but I strongly suspect it has something to due with how the system responds to...
No I don’t believe so. I just checked my timeout for Water Change and I have it set for 3hrs. Much longer than my typical time of 1 to 1.5 hrs. Good idea though. These intermittent problems are frustrating to pin down. Thanks again. Can’t say I noticed any color change on the C4. I’ll have...
I just ran some tests. I switched modes numerous times and could not induce the failure again. What I couldn’t do is leave it in Water Change mode 1.5 hrs before going back to Normal mode as I had when it failed earlier this evening. I’ll wait until the weekend to run that one.
Well ain’t that something? I just noticed that the wifi plug reconnected all by itself. Wish there was a log to tell me exactly when. It took well over an hour if I had to guess. Still shouldn’t have happened in the first place though. I’ll change the modes again to test after the next feeding...
Yes. I shut down the skimmer and return pump and turn on the led light for my sump when I go to Water Change mode. Then reverse it when I go back to normal. The wifi plug should not be affected from either switch as it’s active in all modes. Oh....if it makes any difference, I have a delay...
Just re-read this. No. I wasn’t turning the wifi plug on/off when switching modes. It was not supposed to change state between Normal and Water Change modes which makes it a head scratcher as to why the C4 lost sight of it.
