Yes, I have a low level float switch on mine that powers off the return pump. I use the return pump as the depends on in my heater outputs and my skimmer output so those will also power off if the return pump is powered off.

Ok, that will work then. Just make sure an plan on plugging in the Wave Engine and X10 power supplies also.

Not sure why you are using data only cables. The only reason would be if the cable is over 14ft. Also the Wave Engine and X10 have their own power supplies and those are needed since the ouputs on either will not run from command bus power.
