1st AWC sucessful

1st Hydros AWC successful. I put my Hydros XS up yesterday.
At 10:00 SW Drain pump turns on and combiner output During WC (SWDrain on OR SWfill on) goes true. ATO will not run if During WC is on. System Waterl (actual water level sensor in sump) goes dry. For pumps I am using 3 Maxijet 1200s. There is 1 level sensor in the sump and 1 in the mixing tank.
Pump runs for 6 minutes. This is 6 gallons down the sink drain. 1.5% of 400 gallons.

AT 10:06:01 SWfill pump comes on and During WC combiner output still true
pump runs 4 minutes and makes level sensor go wet again

10:10 complete System water level wet again

Done

If New SW Level goes dry it will abort the NEXT AWC session by turning off SWWDrain. The New SW Level sensor is high enough in the mixing tank to complete the current one. I will also get an email telling me so I can make more when it goes dry.

I am WVNed on Reef 2 Reef too. Here is my system. 400 gallons total.

I put the Hydros XS in service yesterday and it did the first water change at 10 as scheduled. I have a skimmer level sensor coming to control my SRO-5000. I drain it to a 5 gallon bucket but it overflows at times.

Love your set up. When your "Pump runs for 6 minutes." is that a set time or is it running from the sensor. Really like this idea.

I plumed up the pump I was going to use in the sump and pumped water into a 5 gallon graduated bucket sitting at the same head height the pump would normally see.
I timed how long it would take to pump the amount of water I wanted and used that time in the programming.

I only use the ATO water level sensor when It fills.

Since I am pumping by timer and not a sensor that could get moved or fail it is never going to pump out more than I want. It could pump less if the pump is not maintained properly.

As for the water level sensor. I armored it.

cause I have these in the sump

and sometimes they are bad

So used a timer and one sensor.

Makes sense. You have any thing in place to keep the pumps from running to long? mounting height maybe, just out of curiosity really. Seems like I always miss one scenario but you seem to have a good process.

On a side note how are you accessing the controller on a PC? I mounted an iPad but also have a Seneye connected to a laptop I could make use if. Not to mention tinkering with my tank from afar is a must, lol!
