Adapting Hydros Wave Engine

I was wondering. I don't know enough about electronics to know if this is a good question or just silly. Take a pump like the Might Jet or even the Nero 3 that both run on 24v. Assuming I understand correctly the Wave Engine puts out 24v. Why can't one adapt the connectors on 24v pumps to plug into the wave engine directly bypassing the pumps own controller and letting the Wave Engine supply the power and even control pulse etc. What is it that I don't know that makes this impossible?

The WaveEngine drives the windings of the motor directy so it needs to know how much current and the pulse duration for a specific pump you attach. So there is a lot more to it than connecting up the three connections to the windings.

So there is nothing to tell the WaveEngine what current to supply in the Hydros programming?

They are not adding them unless it is ok with the manufacturer even if it is possible for them to be controlled by the WaveEngine.

Okey dokey then. Thanks I guess I was thinking it was as simple as the WaveEngine generating x amount of current at a given interval to control whatever pump was on the other side of the cable.
