I'm trying to get my X4 to text my phone for certain issues instead of emailing me, which is what seems to happen now. Is there a certain level of alert that results in texting instead of emailing?

Also, where can I find the alert setting for the controller itself losing power?

Texting is not directly supported. Push alerts and email are. There is settings in the options menu as to which level of alert sends what that you can set how you want.

You could go into the "Account Preferences" on the top-RIGHT menu and then input your mobile-to-text email provided by your telephone company.

For example, ATT allows you to send an email to number@txt.att.net that automatically turns into a text message.

If you google "How to send a text message from your email account," you can find a list of email addresses for all carriers.
