I just recently set up an Automatic Water Change output, and a schedule.

The AWC is functioning (completes a drain and fill), but I'm getting these random frequent (top offs?), where the salt water fill pump runs for about 10 seconds.

See the attached screenshot with the logs.
My schedule for AWC starts at 8am-12pm. I was planning to have it do two small water changes during that 4 hours with "water change count" set to 2.

Am I doing this wrong?

I'd suggest a ticket with support@coralvue.com to get another set of eyes and confirmation. There are some minor adjustments to the AWC recipe in firmware that is currently under test pending release. These may eliminate or reduce what you're observing as potentially unexpected saltwater topoffs. However, because these topoffs are initiated within ten minutes of the original AWC completion I tend to believe it may be by design to allow the level to settle before declaring AWC complete and transitioning to ATO.

Does it keep doing that are is it just a few times? Are you using dosing pumps for AWC pumps?

It continued to do the saltwater top off for at least 3 hours. I deleted the AWC because I didnt want to throw off my salt levels, The ATO did not run a single time when it’s in this state.

I’m using Hydros dosing pumps directly to the drive ports. The water is a few feet below the tank.

I use dosing pumps also and mine does that but only about three times then starts the ATO. Have you checked with CoralVue?

Not yet. I'm going to try to reset this up, make sure nothing is syphoning (maybe causing the AWC to not finish its refill cycle), and observe again. If it continues I'll reach out to the support team and follow up here. I made a bunch of edits on my original AWC with advanced timeouts (which were activated), so I'm wondering if I put things in a bad state.

Good to know it's normal for the pumps to do additional top offs at the end of the cycle. But I'll look to make sure those eventually terminate and revert back to ATO mode.

Yeah I would also suggest reaching out to CV and letting them dig into it as well. There's always a small chance that there is a sw issue.

I moved my ATC/AWC connections over to my X4, and all is working as expected! So there *might* be a bug with the X2 and FW version I’m running.

I’ve been working with Carlos and team at Coralvue, they are looking into a fix 👏👏.

I'm not sure how a collective chooses which controller's FW logic to use, when you have connections spread across multiple controllers (like an X4 and X2). But if you look at the description of the AWC Output, it seems to bias towards whatever you have the "ATO output" set to.

In the attached image. I have the "ATO Output" assigned to the X4 Drive 2. I have a feeling if I moved that output back over the X2 I'd hit the same issue as before.

Just speculating though. For now I'm going to just enjoy having the AWC/ATO working and look forward to the fix from CV.

The Outputs screen only displays the first output when you use a recipe that associates multiple Output Devices such as Automatic Water Change, Kalk Reactor, among others. If you click on the Automatic Water Change Output, you will see the other Drain and Fill Output Devices. So this view is accurate though an incomplete list of Output Devices. Addition of all associated Output Devices in this list may be a feature request for @Carlos. The Control which actually governs the action is the Master which if not specified as WiFi Master Priority Perferred on the Devices page is randomly elected and is depicted by a symbol to the right of the name in the Status screen. In the attached example, my Master is DSPX201.

My AWC output shows all three outputs as tiles It 42g AWC and the tiles are 42g AWC ATO, 42g AWC Drain and 42g AWC Fill in the screenshot below.
