Wanted to see if I was understanding how to estimate backup time of a power pack backup.

If a backup is rated at 1000 watt hours then my system which is showing 134 watts on the XP8, the backup should run the system for 7.46 hours?

The XP8 is AC so those will not run on a battery unless you use a UPS of some kind and there will be a loss in the UPS conversion from 12v to 120v AC. I don't run AC devices on battery backup. I only run devices that will run on 12v DC and that is my 2 flow pumps and the Hydros controllers only. No power is an emergency situation so no need for anything but water flow in the tank during an emergency.

Right. I am just trying to figure out the calculation based on the power goes out and I unplugged the XP8 from the wall and plugged it into a power supply pack, like a Jackery.

Yea I am not sure how those are rated since they put out 12 volt and 120 volt through a inverter and other voltages for USB sometimes. I am guessing that is the battery rating and not at a 120 outlet.
There will be loss through the inverter I would say around 15 to 20 percent depending on how efficient the inverter is. I have seen ones state better and ones worse though.
