Just because it is a doser doesn't necessarily mean you need to logically configure it as such. The Kalk Reactor output likely does exactly what you want to accomplish. Alternatively Generic does too. Select your pH as the Input and configure a tight pH On/Off Point range such as Low 8.19/High 8.20 and Active When ph Low. Then Enable Pump Advanced Settings to expose additional control options. Adjust your Pump Start Time, Run Time, Run Count and Run Intervals accordingly.
If you have a faster rate fixed pump such as Hydros doser, you need to put a little more thought into understanding demand then calculating dose quantity and frequency of doses to avoid rapid spikes of pH and/or alkalinity. For instance, Start Time 22:00, Run Time 00:02:00, Run Count 40, Run Interval 00:15:00. This example would run 2 minutes on/13 minutes off every 15 minute interval between 10pm-8am (40count x 15min interval = 600min = 10hrs) only if pH criteria is met. If pH criteria is not met, the dose is skipped.
If you're using a peristaltic pump where you can slow the speed down to drips or very slow stream (depending on demand) then it may be safe to run continuously during nighttime hours. To do this, you'd set Start Time 22:00:00, Run Time 10:00:00 and Run Count 1. (Set your desired times accordingly.) This example runs continuously 10pm-8am if pH criteria is met.
