connecting x2 and x3 together

I don't know if this has been posted or not but here we go anyways..I recently purchased the controller 2 starter pack and now wanting to expand by adding controller 3. My question is can I just purchase the controller 3 by it self with power cable and connect via command bus and command terminal???

You will need to get the Control 3, command buss cable and a terminator if you want to use it in a collective. One power supply is enough. In fact you can only use the power pack if it is the only power source unless you separate the other power source using a data only command buss cable. So once you get a XP8 or a WaveEngine you will need to remove the power pack and the XP8 and/or WaveEngine will power the other controllers. If you do not want to use in a collective you can still share one power supply using a buss cable.
