I've been really having trouble with a stable connection between my hydros hardware including X4 Controller / 2 Power Strips / Gyre Wave Controller / Wireless Feeder. I've been running the X4 and a power strip for over a year without any issues and have more recently added another power strip to delegate more control to other items. Now with the connection issue I had my auto top off bail 10 gallons of RO/DI water into the DT. My assumption here is that the constant disconnects allowed the ATO cycle to run out of control.

Does anyone know if there are logs or something I could see where the issues may be taking place?

Have you tried rebooting the router and access point? The fact that all the devices have connectivity issues leads me to believe that the root of the problem is the router.

Try the following:
  1. Reboot the router and access point if you have one and wait until the internet access is back
  2. Reboot your HYDROS devices
See if that makes a difference.

Also, if you do not have an Access Point, we highly recommend one. It is well known that the routers provided by Internet Companies are low quality, and their WiFi is highly unreliable.

Are you using a wifi strip for ATO? I would not recommend it since the wifi strip will stay in whatever state it is in if for some reason there is a wifi communication issue. I use the drive ports for that and have not had an issue. If you do use the wifi strip for ATO then limit the amount of DI in the reservoir in case there is a communication issue with the wifi.

Hi Danny - Yes I do use a Wifi strip for the ATO and the RO-DI rez is limited to 10 gallons. It just so happens that I had just filled it up the day before this event. This was a retro-fit from my original float switch/solenoid setup so I already had an AC pump for the job. It's actually worked just fine for over a year until the connection became unreliable.

Hi Carlos -

I opened a case a few weeks ago for a power strip that wouldn't connect at all. You guys warranty replaced that strip and the new one does connect. This week in particular though has been challenging as I've noticed the feeder and wifi strips have been disconnected quite a bit sporadically. Many hours will go by and everything is fine, then they'll be randomly disconnected.

I run an ASUS ROG dedicated wifi router and do not rely on a telco provided piece of hardware. I'll try a router reboot followed by a device reboot as suggested and see if this has any effect.

I would not use wifi for ATO if it was me. If you have a free drive port on your X4 you can use the Hydros dosing pump on a drive port as a ATO pump. In fact that is the pump I am using for ATO now. My DI reservoir is in my garage and so is my pump. The tank is in a room 35ft from the garage. The Hydros dosing pump has no issue pumping u through the attic then down inside the wall to a wall plate then to the tank.
