Does the control devices communicate with the wifi devices through the LAN or does it go to out to the cloud and back?

I.E. Do control/wifi devices continue to work if my internet goes out, but my wireless local area network remains online?

I know that I could stage a test, but I figured I'd ask around first!

Thanks in advance!

Yes uses LAN.

You could technically have your WiFi strips on one WiFi network and your master control on another WiFi network and they would still work as long as both WiFi networks are on the same LAN. It gets tricky setting up tho since WiFi strips link to the WiFi network that your master hydros was connected to at the time of initial pairing. My setup actually takes advantage of this since I have one setup in my garage on its own access point wired to more hydros devices in the basement that are on another WiFi network (since the AP in the garage can’t be seen.)
