Pump integration is coming with the WaveEngine integration later this month. All the pump profiles/schedules from the WaveEngine are going to be available for use with the Control 4/0-10V ports. So you will be able to set a constant % for running the pump or setup a schedule.I have a VarioS 4 that has a 0-10v connector but it dkesbt seem that the Hydros has a setting for controlling DC pumps, beyond on and off. Am I correct that a Hydros 4 cannot control DC pump speed?
Yes, the 0-10v is just a control signal only. This is a very dumb question. But when using the 0-10v, will I still need to plug the pump into a power outlet?
That's what I thought. I'm trying to stay outlet lean. Thanks!!!Yes, the 0-10v is just a control signal only.
Oh, that's great news. I knownthe varios is supported on that. I'll have to get a WE after my AWC project is completed. There are some pumps the wave engine will power but they use special ports on the wave engine and not the 0-10v control outputs.
With the addition of 1-10v pump control now on the Control2/4 does that make the WE technically obsolete? Other than being able to power the pumps via the WE, what other advantages still remain on owning the WE?
Wave modes, Control does not have them. The ability to sync multiple pumps.
0-10v is ok for basic control like the main pump but controlling multiple flow pumps.
Most pumps like the gyres do not have 0-10v either.

So Jeff, i have 2 gyres maxspect but no wave engine. Can i now control them with just the controller 4?
This makes sense and oversight on my part when I asked if the WE was obsolete. I would not be able to control my XF330's because they need power as well as input control, meaning I would have to use the controller that came with the XF330's to power them and would have no way to connect them to the HC4. Makes perfect sense now, thank you!I do not believe so. They do not have a 0-10v input into the controller I don’t believe.
You might how ever be able to use the icecap gyre interface module. But this only works for the XF130/230 or XF150/250 models. You will also need to adapt it correctly from the hydros 0-10v port into the interface module. I believe it uses the standard 3.5mm port but you’d have to reach out to Coralvue support to make sure you get the right connector/cables.
