Controlling ICDPC with Hydros 4

Hello I am trying to set up a 0-10V output from my Hydros controller with the 0-10v cable to control my icecap dual gyre WiFi controller... I've already read the article on the website on how to do it. Ive set up a variable light with a min:50% and max:51% setting made sure the output is set correctly on both units, but for some reason it still is not working. Ive reached out to Carlos and via email he thought the 3.5 mm jack wasn't pushed all the way in, so as per his recommendations i trimmed the plastic around the male jack. Still have not fixed anything... I've taken a multi meter to the jack and tested the output when switching from normal to feed mode. The output I get is nothing, but if I clicked the output on manually I get 10.2V DC, which then if I set the input voltage on the ICDPC to 10V I can manually turn feeding mode on... I was wondering if anyone else has had any problems setting up a 0-10V output? Also is there any other way to control the voltage output easier on the hydros controller? It would seem since it is a controller and a lot of reef tank equipment utilize the 0-10v inputs the hydros software would have a simple 0-10v output voltage selection you can set and mirror to your device input.

Here you go... The 1st two are from the hydros controller output set up as per the article on the hydros website and the 3rd is the the input setting for the ICDPC.

If you can set your Icecap to trigger a 0v you can try the settings below For the Hydros output.





I set it up and got the response below. The output I setup is the one named Light Red. The only thing I am not sure about is what happens at midnight. I am hoping that the 1 second will not stop your pump.

Just tried that... Did not work... The only way I can get it to work is to use a modified version of what you sent... I only get a 10.2 V DC signal from the cable no matter what I do, so I modified the settings you sent and matched the ICDPC to 10v, with that signal I can make it go into the coral feed mode...but I wanted one for the water change mode also... Since I can't change the voltage output I can only utilize 10v and only control 1 mode...kind of a bummer...

My thought to consider is The variable light output has a bug and doesn’t change the voltage.... Coralvue says that is fixed when the next update is released per Carlos. I tried to use it for dimming a T5 AquaticLife fixture which at this moment does not dim - it’s all on 100 or off . I would wait for the update which I believe will fix your problem.

I don't think you can have a start time and end time the same and have it work. That is why used advanced settings and started it a 00:00:00 and had it run 23:59:59. That leaves only 1 second. It seemed to work I did not check the output voltage. I can do that and see what I get.

Ok, I checked mine in normal mode the output s 10.12v. When I select Feed Mode it went to .034v. So it looks like it is working on my end. To get it to trigger in water change mode just deselect that mode in the Active in Modes like you have the feed mode.

I tried a different approach on this if the previous did not work. Create a output that uses the Constant type. See below.



Setup your 0-10v output like the one below. I still had to set it up as slope mode. Still set the timer to start at midnight and go off one second before midnight. Set depends on to the previously setup output. Set Dependency Mode to Off if On. In this setup the output is 0 at normal and is 10v in either feed mode or water change mode.



I tried it and results are in the screenshots below. First is normal mode.



Second is feed mode



Third is water change mode



Let me know if you are able to get it to work with either setup.
