Coral Spawning with Hydros

Regarding heat, it looks like Richard Ross (Link below, schedules are in the supplementary data) was able to do this simply with a monthly variation of temperature. Which, while not ideal, could be updated manually once a month. However, with 0-10v control available with some of the LED lights on the market, it should be within the realm of possibility to program location-specific solar and lunar schedules.

I mean, you guys don't want Aperture laying claim that they are the only equipment manufacturer that is able to support captive spawning, do you? ;)

This would be so cool. I plan to diy my own light but having the setting inside hydros would be even better. I was always wondering why I couldn't set a schedule to have a 28day cycle with a gradual intensity changed throughout. Let make it happen.

The light schedule already has specific location settings.

I just found this thread and am very interest to see where this has progressed to.
I like Hydros, but my husband heard a lecture indicating that one Hydros competitor was the only one that could accomplish this. He's been determined we have to switch.
I know latitude mode is available. Where are we with the seasonal temps and lunar schedule?
 
This is an area we are very actively working in right now. We have been having meetings with one of the world leaders in coral spawning (I can't say who). We are working on Lunar cycles and other things that are far beyond what the other guys do. Expect big things in this area soon.

I think it has kind of been announced with the Hydros XHO light.
 
Looks like coral spawning features have been in-work for a few years now, with seasonal lighting implemented.

But still waiting on seasonal temperature and moonlight.

I’m in the process of converting from Apex to Hydros and the only reason I’m keeping the Apex and Sky lights around is the seasonal moon, light, and temperature features. I’ll fully convert once Hydros has this support OR I figure out a way to DIY.
