Wondering why both my WE and X4 sometimes are both green at the top, and someone’s 1 of them is not the same color? Also, the Collective light is also sometimes green but now is white?

In terms of Master Priority both my X4 and XP8 are both on Normal and WE is Never. This have anything to do with it?

My XP8 just reset itself for no reason last night again and now the LED’s look like this… anyone know what the different colors indicate?

The XP8 does not follow the breathing blue like the other units. I think the outer lights are for the status of the output. Green is on, blue is off and no light is output port not used yet. The four in the center are green on mine also. I think they do have labels.

Yea I’m aware of the XP8 LED’s on the outlets. The 4 that are aligned vertically, the one on the bottom toggles between white and green as I pointed out in the separate pictures. Also, the color light on top of the WE and X4 sometimes are both green, but sometimes 1 is white and the other is green. Would imagine this is connected somehow I’d just like to know what it means…

I think one of the LED's indicate which controller is the wifi master. It could be the white one if there is only one that is white. I have one of mine as preferred so it does not switch around normally on my system. What is the label for the one that changes color in the center?

The one on the left is my WE which is set to never forget priority since it’s the original version. The X4 on the right is set to normal priority, and that LED toggles between green/white. My XP8 is also set to normal priority. Should I change one to preferred ?

@Danny Im thinking that the white LED means that is the unit that has current master priority. Since both those units are set to normal maybe it toggles between them depending on which connects first in the event of a reset.

White is master and green is slave.
Set the one closest to your WiFi access point to master or priority. A Wave Engine can not be master at least not V1 or WE LE I am not sure about the new version WE V2. @Carlos .

It’s the WE V1 so set to never. My XP8 and X4 are both equidistant from the WiFi point, but will change one of them to preferred, and the other to normal. Have I been causing any issues with them both set to normal?

No they are made to pick up if one is out. Is this happening allot or just once in a while? Is it after rebooting or just random?

I’ve been dealing with my XP8 resetting itself maybe once a week, can’t figure out why. Was going back and forth with Carlos on it for a while but gave up as I was getting a bit frustrated. Seems like it happens after I make and then upload multiple setting changes one at a time. Last night it shut down but left 1 outlet on, that was lit up yellow (my protein skimmer that only uses about 20 watts so I know it wasn’t bogging down the outlet or unit) It rebooted itself after a few mins.
