Difference between control x4 and control 4

I got 2 hydros devices during black Friday from two different stores online. One came in as x4 and the other I thought was x4 but the box say only 4. What's the difference between the 2? All the ports look the same.

They are the exact same product just a different box. The " Control4 " box is the first revision. The Control x4 is the newest revision of box. The product inside is exactly the same.

Like Michael said the only difference is when it was packaged. One was before they started using the new box. As far as control there is no difference. It is just that the X4 name replaced the Control 4 name. There were some other controllers that the Control was dropped and replaced with X also about the same time.
