Running an IceCap V3, and set up a Low Power mode. If power to the fish tank is cut, does it automatically flip to Low Power, or do you need to manually select it when you realize your power is out?

You have to have a battery backup with the Hydros Wave Engine for it to be automatic. The backup battery is 12 volts and the normal Wave Engine power supply is 24v so the voltage drop will trigger it,Running an IceCap V3, and set up a Low Power mode. Out of curiosity, will it trigger if the battery backup is still plugged in to a live outlet, and I unplug the XP8 and X4 power? You have to have a battery backup with the Hydros Wave Engine for it to be automatic. Yea I have a low power schedule as wellYou also have to have a low power schedule setup and set it to active in low power mode and set the other schedules to inactive in low power mode. Below is my low power schedule but it is for MP10's.

Yea that’s exactly how mines set up as well. So what happens when low power is triggered (everything powered off including the battery backup) in terms of what devices stay powered? Not talking about outputs, just talking about like LED’s on the outside of the WE, X4, and XP8? Do they stay on or does everything basically go dark and what you select to run still runs? If I’m making sense…Yes. I have two dedicated circuits for my XP8s/Wave Engines and the battery charger is plugged into one of my other normal wall outlets. I have had occasion where I needed to power down my collective to add new Controls. When doing so I need to shutoff the circuit breakers to the XP8s AND remove the battery connection from the Wave Engine.
Yea it’s all hooked up correctly. I’m just wondering what happens in certain situations before I try to low power test it. Just didn’t know if the LEDs are supposed to remain on or not.You should still be able to access the collective through the app. It should show that it is in low power mode. It sounds like the battery power is not getting to the WaveEngine. Did you get the adapter cables for hooking it up to the WaveEngine? If so there may be an issue with them or the IceCap battery pack.
