Dosing vs calcium reactor

I have been using calcium reactor for over 15years and I don't really have problem with it, I just recently thought about possibly dosing calcium and trace elements. A lot of times I'm constantly changing the effluent drip because the needle valve gets clogged or I have to constantly have to adjust it often. Would the sole be good to control the effluent coming out of the reactor or would it be time to change over to a Blenny and start dosing? What is everyones thoughts?

Since a carx needs a continuous use pump for the effluent, the Sole would be the right choice. I personally use a Kamoer FX-STP for my effluent. So the only control I have within Hydros is on and off. The Sole didn’t exist when I bought the Kamoer pump, but if it did, that is what I would have purchased. I had similar issues for years. I had a micro ball valve on my effluent and I would have to constantly play with my drip rate. Having the pump is nice because it is almost set it and forget it.

I am a big fan of calcium reactors, so that is the route I would go. In my case, my calcium reactor can’t keep up with my coral consumption, so I dose calcium with my trace elements, and I add kalk. My CaRx is home made and I will eventually make a bigger one, but my system works with 3 types of calcium additions so I’ll leave it alone. Yes, I am a big fan of acropora.
