Enabling Reverse

Is there a way to run a 4k gyre in reverse only in certain flow modes? i would like to set up a schedule where i can run my pump in reverse for 10 minutes a day, but do not want it to run in reverse during my normal flow patterns ex. not in sps flow mode. if you choose constant speed there is a toggle for allow reverse, but in lps or sps there is no toggle.

The reverse is only available on specific flow patterns. For example, if you want to run the pump in reverse for 10 minutes a day, I recommend you create a "Repeating" Constant Flow Schedule and run it every hour for 10 minutes.

That part i understand, but i usually run a combo of sps during day and lps at night. i believe both of these have reverse in them. but i do not want them to run in reverse in these flow patterns. i only want the reverse to happen when i set up this schedule.

The individual pumps have an Allow Reverse toggle. And, if supported, the Schedules also have an Allow Reverse toggle. So in order to run in reverse it would need to be enabled in both places. If you don't want to run reverse in a particular schedule then don't enable the toggle.

As far as running two schedules overnight, configure the lesser intensity schedule to run the entire duration and the higher intensity to run at the desired times. See the attached examples. LPS Reef will run from 21:00 to 09:00 when SPS Reef isn't running. SPS Reef will supercede because of the higher percentage.

Yes, but i do not see a place to enable reverse mode on sps or lps. And i believe that schedule runs pumps in reverse if the pump it self is switched to enable reverse. i do not want to run reverse on the sps and lps, just on my constant that i will set up.

Notice I said "And if supported..." LPS and SPS don't support reverse. Not all patterns support reverse. If it is not supported, it will not appear as an option. I understand they aren't your desired patterns but try briefly changing to Gyre or Nutrient Export and observing the option differences.

Ok Sorry i thought when i enabled reverse a year or 2 ago that these modes had reverse in them. if they do not i stand corrected and will go ahead with my selections. back then i know i enables reverse on my gyre and during sps it was stopping and not really reversing. so i will give it another try. I guess that is why there is no option to enable in those modes. thanks for the help.
