Are you using the wifi power strip or the xp8?

The wifi strips themselves do not have any fall back if they loose communications with the controller. They will remain in whatever state they were in until communication is restored. The output on the controller itself has a setting for that but there would need to be communications between the controller and the wifi power strip via your router.
