Howdy, folks! New user, new owner of a WE, first post here.
I'm looking for help on how to best configure two Maxspect XF350 gyre pumps. I have a 6' long tank and have one each on the far left and right sides of the tank.
Where I get confused is the 'position' switch for 'same end' vs 'opposite end'. Since I have two of the same pumps on opposing sides of the tank, I selected 'opposite end' for both, but I'm not sure if that's right because the two pumps mirror each other and do the same thing at the same time no matter what flow pattern I select. For example, in 'gyre mode', they'll both ramp up to +50% power, then drop off and run at up to -50% power, which I presume means that the pumps are running in reverse.
Changing one of the pumps to 'same end' does cause them to de-synchronize and ramp up and down independently. So I assume it's just the terminology of 'same' versus 'opposite' that was confusing me. Do I have that right?
Also curious to hear what settings y'all use for your gyres, and why.
Thanks in advance!
