Ok, ok, I know that on the onset it looks like a silly question.
For the controllers, though, they all state "Wifi Control - up to 8x".
The wifi strip has four outlets and four USB ports. Does this count as 4 since it has four outlets? Does it count as 8 because it has 4 outlets and 4 USB ports? Or does it count as 1 since it's a single wifi strip?
There's a huge difference, after all, between being able to run a single wifi strip (four power outlets)(only four outlets because it's counting the four outlets and the four USB ports as individual devices against the 8x), two wifi strips (eight power outlets)(it only counts the outlets but not the USB ports against the 8x), and running eight wifi strips (thirty-two power outlets)(it counts each wifi strip as a single unit against the 8x).
As I'm prepping to purchase/install new gear for a tank I'll be setting up soon, just trying to plan accordingly.
