I've been using this for just over a week and not a problem. I use a Bashsea 5 (5 gal) ATO reservoir, Today I put about 3/4 gal in it to bring it up to 4.5, later I noticed it was down a bit and thought I could have sworn that was higher so topped it back to 4.5 gal. I had ordered a skimmer sensor and it showed up so was installing and noticed my water level was a good 1.5" over my ATO sensor, looked at the Bashsea and noticed it was back down to just over 3.5 gal...... wth, any ideas why this ATO maybe doing this, to add to it I looked at the log for the ATO and its never saying it ran , either time. Its scaring me a bit

You don't a maximum on time set? Also set a minimum off time, minimum on time and maximum off time. Also set run past maximum on time to ofd. If you are using the Hydros ATO the minimum on time should be a second or two. I would try 5 seconds for max on time. Start with a minimum off time to around 15 minutes. You will need to tweak these depending on you particular tank. These settings will limit the amount of top off in a given time period. Set an alert on the output and you will get an alert if the maximum on time is exceeded or the maximum off time is exceeded. This should catch a sensor issue once these times are dialed in.

I’ll have to try that then. Just concerning that for what ever reason when I completely fill my reservoir it pumps 3/4 gal out for no apparent reason

Another thing it might be if this only happens when the reservoir is full you may have siphoning happening. There is suppose to be an assembly that prevents that but it must be above the water level to work.

Yeh my hose is a few inches above the water level. I did it so I wouldn’t raver have to worry about that

Yeh prolly 2”. I made it that way because my other tank is a waterbox AIO and the hose for the ATO siphon back a little now and again

I would post a screenshot of my setup, but I use a dosing pump and the on time is a lot longer on mine that what yours would be.

Are you running the latest firmware? The latest app and firmware has logs now on the outputs. Check out what the output log looks like on the ATO pump.

Yea using latest. Yes that was the first thing I looked at it am the log hadn’t shown it running since early in the morning and both these incidents were in the afternoon

When it runs how long does it show it running? And how often? This is the log for mine. I use a dosing pump though.

Do you have a spare sense port? Could toss on a second level sensor and use that to trigger a false output. Put it just above your ATO sensor. Then you’d be able to log (and alarm) anytime the water goes higher than the ATO sensor. If you don’t have any more sense ports you can use 0-10v inputs and a float switch. I have a tutorial under the DIY section. Would give you more visibility for the future.

I’d be interested in that float switch you talk about.
I turned the ATO off completely yesterday since I had more than enough water in the sump and now there’s no logs at all. I know for a fact that I didn’t log it running those 2 times because that was the first thing I looked at
