Hydros dosing pump

Can the hydros dosing pump be powered by one of the usb ports on the wifi power strip. I have no more drive ports or wifi plugs available. I figured i could just splice in a usb plug into the cable.
 
No, USB is not 12 volts it is only 5 volts. I got 2 X2's for the drive ports. I have 6 drive ports in use.
 
Are you handy with DIY? If so you could always power a 5v relay with the USB from a wifi strip and use the normally open contacts to power one on and off with 12 volts. Get a 12 volt DC supply and switch the 12v output of the supply to the dosing pump. I would stay away from the 120 volt AC side.

Ya, i would have no issue wiring that up, but at this point i might as well just buy another controller and add 2 more ports.
