I got the feeder and installed. However, why don't this trigger a feeding mode? How am I able to stop my Tunze pump, etc when this is on? Does hydros have a timer function?

The feeder does not trigger the feeding mode. That is a manual mode. Is your Tunze pumps controller by a wave engine or are the just powered on and off?

Ok this is how I did it with the wave engine. I have several schedules that I use throughout the day but for this exampleI will only show one of the normal schedules here. Below is my morning schedule. I had to take 2 screenshots to get everything. What is change on it for feed mode is the depends on setting. It uses an output I created call 42g Feed Mode. The dependency mode is off if on. If the Feed mode output is on I want all normal schedules to be off so the feeder mode schedule will run.

Below is the Feeder Mode Schedule This also uses depends on but the dependency mode is off if off. Also this one has a schedule start time set to 00:00:00 and end time set to00:00:00. This is so it will run any time the dependency is not active. Unless it is a feeding the dependency is active for this schedule so it will not run.

Now on to the outputs that allow this to work. The first one allows this to be triggered by the feed mode button also. I call it feed off so when on there is no feed mode unless triggered by the feeder but if the feed button is pressed this will go off. For this to work I set it up as a constant but set active in mode to all but feeding and low power modes. It will go off in those two modes.

Now to the Feed mode output. This one is set to trigger on two inputs. The inputs are the feeder itself and the feed off output, The feed off input is inverted so if that output is on it is not active as a input. The Combiner mode is OR. so if either input is active this output is active.Since the feeder is just on for a second or two the Minimum on time is set to 30 minutes in advanced settings. This would be the setting for the feed time length since this output will stay on for that long once triggered on. I have this working on my system. I have MP10's for flow pumps and they will not stop completely but I can slow them down to a low flow rate. I do not tuen off my return pump since I have a feeding tube that the feeder dumps into so the food is already sinking once it drops out of that tube.
