As I recall the answer is yes with a caveat. The drive port will run the stirrer at full speed bouncing the bean around and losing orbit. You would need a DIY speed control or disassemble and mod the included AC power supply/speed control. @JeffB418 posted a while back.

Yes as Thomas said, you can run it off a drive port but not at full speed. Use something similar to what I used here for a speed control: Variable Speed Hydros Doser

the speed dial is built into the 120v to 12V transformer box. No way to separate them.
