My wish is to see instructional videos. It would be nice to have individual videos for each input/output device and possibly videos demonstrating setup/configuration for specific scenarios.
I understand there are typed instructions online but many of the settings aren't nearly as intuitive as you might think and the instructions don't always explain things with the level of detail or clarity you're looking for. I love Hydros so, please, no one take this the wrong way but the reality is that, even though this system doesn't require "programming", I see in this forum on a very regular basis, folks asking for guidance on even simple configurations and/or devices. Posts like these demonstrate I am correct in stating that many of the settings aren't that intuitive.
There's currently a long list of instructional items so it would be easy to go down that list and make short, to-the-point videos with real equipment directing you as if "you don't know "nothin' bout nothin'".
I know there are some videos out there already. The live ones spend too much time away from the topic at hand and Carlos (love you Carlos!) has a terrible network connection so his signal cuts out or gets choppy during the presentation quite often. There are shorter, studio like quality videos as well and those are great but there aren't nearly enough of them (need one for all the topics) and they very rarely discuss the most common "what if" scenarios.
I recommend two new Playlists for Hydros - one is instructional videos that cover each item individually and the other is documenting the setup/configuration of a live system. Maybe you have a "lab" tank that you set up from scratch and, in the Hydros Lab Playlist videos, you slowly add/configure Hydros to the working system. We have this "X" system and we're going to be adding a Wave Engine and some pumps to this tank. In another video - We're going to add an X4 to this tank. In the next video - We're adding ATO to our tank, connecting it to the X4, and configuring it in the app. In a much later video - we're adding pumps for auto water changes to make our lives easier with Hydros. Etc. In the beginning, you have a decent sized tank and immediately add a Wave Engine and some pumps while the tank is cycling. Over time, you continue to add more Hydros gear and, in the end, you have a tank running with a slew of Hydros monitoring and automation.
I realize you're looking for features and equipment requests here, but I think this suggestion is certainly relatable and could take out some of the confusion or frustration people have when working with these amazing devices.
Anyone concur? Anyone have more to add to this that could make a video training series like this better?
Thanks - Magus

- In this video, we'll show you how to install the Hydros app and keep it updated to the latest version.
- Today, we'll be unboxing the X4 and walking you through initial setup including the steps of connecting your device to WIFI and will discuss possible issues you may have and how you can overcome those obstacles.
- Let's discuss notifications - the different types, what they mean, how they configure them, and provide some examples of what types of conditions you might wish to assign to the various notification types.
- etc.
- etc.
