Is power monitoring way off or am I missing something?

I’ve noticed a discrepancy on one of my XP8’s being off maybe 30-40watts if I add up the reported watts on the tiles, however my new XP8 is way off. I have a skimmer with a pump rated at 18 watts and a return pump rated at 35 watts. They are both reporting between 70-73 watts each. I also looked at the total watts the XP8 is reporting and it was around 70 watts. The numbers at the time did not come close to what the math should be with ( volts / amps ). Anyone else having this issue?

My tiles have never matched the total. The total is usually half of the total on mine. The individual tiles appear right. My skimmer has always read high but my understanding that with the impeller used in the skimmer will cause that to happen. I have two 50 watt heaters. One reads 49.5 and the other reads 50.3 so I feel that is very close.

I’m going to get a meter and see what my skimmer and return pump actually register as. On my other tank my return pump and skimmer are dead on within a couple watts on the individual tiles from what manufacturers ratings are. This new system is way off though, and oddly the wattages displayed are almost identical to each other which I also think is a bit odd.

As an example I use a Atman 1100 pump on my skimmer and it has a 28 watt rating and run at 54 watts. I use a Sicce Syncra 3.0 return pump rated at 48 watts and it runs at 40 watts. I have tried them on different outputs and still get near the same readings.

almost all my devices are only reading around 10 watts, doesn’t seem right. Also my heater is a 300 watt heater and never goes above 12 watts. I am so confused.
