issues with control 4 and status page on collective

I have a control 4 and a control 3. I set them up as a collective with a 50 ft data cable but now I find I need to use each controller separately. I removed the data cable connection from both, deleted the collective and now my Control 4 is breathing green (all lights except for a white light on top) for about 2 minutes, then switches to red for 20 seconds and then repeats. It does not show up on my status screen but does show up under configure Hydro devices. wWhen I tap on it it shows it is connected to my network but I cannot access it. A factory reset will not work - maybe because there are inputs or outputs I didn't delete when breaking the collective? How do I regain control of this unit?
