iV setup option without the required reagent doser

I use my iV to test my pH and salinity in a controlled environment, and do not need the alkalinity tested by the iV. I’d love the ability to set it up without the requirement of needing a dosing head sitting there idle because I never schedule alk tests…

If you have a spare drive port or AC outlet you can always try setting that as the output devices for the reagent pump and see if it will then do the pH salinity testing only without scheduling a alkalinity test. I have not tried this since I do both alkalinity testing and pH salinity only during a 24 hour period.

This was a great idea. I was able to fake it with an extra drive port. Thank you!

I still think though that they should give you the option to omit the requirement…

There is a thread on the forum where you can make suggestions like that. Someone my have already made that suggestion but then the more that do the more likely that it will happen as long as it can be done.
